Welding equipment specialist ESAB has produced a CD version of its latest technical handbook entitled 'Submerged Arc Welding.'
The printed document is A4 in size and contains nearly 100 pages. While this version is ideal as a library copy, the CD format of the publication is, for many, easier to transport and use. Plus there is the advantage that pages can be emailed via computer and mobile phone to welding operatives on site, thus ensuring the most suitable materials are specified. Additionally, health and safety requirements are more likely to be observed when information is quickly and readily available.
As with the paper copy, the CD is split into specific areas. The first being the flux selection, followed by clear flux product data pages, supported, of course, by high quality photography and diagrams as well as charts throughout where necessary.
The general information section towards the end of the handbook contain 30 pages outlining areas such as a trouble shooting guide, data on weld metal alloying, the automation process and SAW joint preparations, as well as the submerged arc welding process. As the largest supplier of welding equipment and consumables in the UK, ESAB is further able to offer specific technical guidance relating to user needs.
