ESAB have taken the decision to change the trade names of ESAB high strength steel wires in order to create an ESAB high strength steel range. The name change will lead to better clarity of the ESAB product program globally. The change of names will make it easier for our customers to identify the products as the trade names are well accepted and matching the yield strength. It will also make it easier for customers to identify the filler metal. The item numbers will remain the same as before, and the products are identical with the same properties as well as chemical and mechanical values. The attachments affirm the name change from ESAB as well as from the approval societies, which ensures that our customers will not need to carry out new welding procedures because of the name change. All ESAB approvals (TÜV, DB, CE) for existing trade names of ESAB high strength wires will be transferred to the new trade names. Updated product approvals are available for download.
